Your breath vs. gravity

Bernoulli's pipe!

Gravity - or the Earth's gravitational force - pulls all objects downward towards the earth. This force also makes sure that you land on the ground when you jump up in the air. The force that opposes a falling object ic called buoyancy. With the Bernoulli's pipe, it's the air coming out of the tube that pushes the ball upwards.
But why does the ball follow the air flow even when you move the pipe? The answer to this question was discovered by the Swiss scientist Daniel Bernoulli (1700-1782). According to Bernoulli's principle, air pressure always decreases where the air flows faster. The lower air pressure creates suction. For this experiment, we have used the PhänoMINT Bernoulli's pipe.
